An exciting start to a couple of weekends ago found me dancing the night away at a random bar in Brighton where a Samba band was banging away on their drums. The band was made up of at least eight players, very impressive. Don't worry, I wasn't there on my own. It was a birthday party for Tatiana, a girl I work with. She is originally from Brazil, hence the Samba band. She came to Brighton three years ago for a language course that was to last a couple of months and loved it so much she just never left. Brighton seems to have that effect on people.
Giovanna (another girl I work with) convinced me to go out with her for this party, and I am so glad she did. Tom, Shaun and Shaun's housemates came along as well. Everyone seemed to have a wonderful night. It was a much different night out than I would normally have, obviously, but great fun with everyone on the dance floor.
