Straight after the wedding I jetted across London on the train to see Tom and Siobhan's new flat. They've just bought a great two bedroom flat and Friday evening we celebrated their housewarming. I feel very special that they consider their spare room mine and Tom's. A few friends we rarely see were there and we had a great time catching up over a few drinks. Everyone slept late on Saturday and then we drove out to Kent, the garden of England, for a tasty pub lunch sitting out by a little stream.
Then it was a back to Brook Farm for Tom, Shaun and I for a quick turn around before heading up to London again. Mark, Tom's friend who recently finished at Sandhurst, is leaving for Afghanistan in a couple of weeks, and of course he couldn't leave without a proper goodbye. About 40 people met up in Oxted and caught a train to a pub right on the Thames in the outskirts of London. It was a very good setting and a fun gathering. I got to see Emma who I hadn't seen in a while, along with our friend Fowler (Nick Allen Perry) who we know from Sussex, but who also was just finished at Sandhurst. As the party moved to a club in Chelsea, one of the richest areas in London, we decided to call it a night. The lady on the door who claimed Mark Willis party was not on the guest list helped that decision.
I woke up at Brook Farm on Sunday to a text from Flo telling me to get out of bed and go with her to get up her new kitten. It is so cute. She's named it Bebe because Shaun says is sounds like a bumble bee when it purrs. Not only did she just get a kitten, but she also has a baby lamb! It is so cool. It was frolicking around the garden as we had our morning tea, and I even got to hold it. I don't think I've even touched a lamb before, it's incredibly soft.
Goodbye amazing four day weekends.
Love
