The comedy club

After a horribly busy week both at work and socially, on Friday night Tom and I finally had a chance to catch up on our date night.  He took me to Brighton's best comedy club, Komedia.  We'd been to comedy here once before so we knew we were in for a good night.

What we didn't know is that they would seat us right front and centre.  As we sat down we both were scared.  We knew we were in the hot seats.  The seats the comedians love to pick on. We sat nervously waiting for the show to begin, Tom fretting a bit more than me.  Within five seconds of the first comedian taking the stage Tom was already being spoken to, and then they moved on to me.  We were asked mainly general stuff about our jobs, and of course they picked up that I'm American.  The couple seated to our left were in the line of fire as well.

Throughout the night the four of us were used in plenty of jokes.  Luckily for Tom they found mentoring school children, the profession of the man next to us, more comical than working in technologies.  They loved their American jokes, but didn't come up with anything too brutal.  Also, I was made fun of for being pretty, which of course I don't mind, but apparently that also means I'm dim and bad with credit cards.

We laughed loads throughout all four acts of the night.  And at the end of the night were were loving the interaction and glad to be sitting up front.

It was such a fun Friday night date, I can not wait to go back!

Love
