I think half days are the way forward. I was able to sleep in, ha a leisurely morning and make big sandwiches to eat on the way up. Once there it was up and down the slopes for three hours straight.
When snowboarding a full day the lunch break is usually after the first few hours, and it's during this break I find my muscles start to ache. Then it's back out onto the slopes for a few more hours of exercise before breaking for the day. I end up all worn out.
With a half day I finished feeling exhilarated rather than exhausted. Perhaps I'm just being lazy though.
Tom and I weren't as lucky with the weather today. It was cloudy and snowing slightly. Also, the lighting was a little flat which meant I was more timid about bombing down the hills as bumps apeared out of nowhere to get me.
We had a lot of fun despite the lack of sun. Being up there mid-week meant less people on the slopes and absolutely no wait at the lifts. We definitely got our moneys worth in runs.
Love
